Health care on the other side of the world 01/22/2009
My lovely girlfriend, Liz, is currently rotating in Mulago Hospital (above) in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. We complain a lot about our health care system, and for good reason, but it might serve as a helpful reminder of how well off we are to read about the huge gap in the quality of care and the resources available for the 5,000 - 10,000 daily patients at Mulago. Check out her blog here. I'll be visiting her for two weeks in March (spring break Uganda!). CommentsLeave a Reply |
